Hamas attacks Israel

Probably find a lot of rockets etc that way but probably few living hostages.

My bad those dimensions are Gaza city not the whole strip. The strip is 4 Napervilles.
Still it’s narrow, between 6-12 km. With only 20k soldiers you could literally stand shoulder to shoulder across the strip at it’s widest point.

Friday was the 50 year anniversary of the Yom Kippur war, another surprise attack that caught the Israelis off guard.
I’m doubting that’s a coincidence, and image the only reason they didn’t do it on 10/6 is they’d rather it be on the enemy’s holy day rather than theirs.

This is different in scope and scale though. They’re calling it their 9/11. Close to 300 dead, dozens to maybe hundreds kidnapped, over 1500 wounded.

Some talking head commented that, despite Netanyahu's political problems with the court system and other investigations, this is the kind of shit the brings the country together.
I may be wrong, but the Jews tend to be ruthless when it comes to this kind of shit.
I wonder how they will deal with the hostages that have been taken, presumably to act as human shields to prevent more aggressive responses from the Israelis. I hope they will not be considered "collateral damage," but I would not be surprised if they are.
