Hamas attacks Israel

In any population, there are the good, the bad, and the ugly. Proportions may vary. Still, the sad thing is when the innocents are killed - children and those with peace of heart. The seeds of the brutality and retribution are once more being sown. It's one of those times when one wonders if humanity has a path forward that moves away from madness. I think of those who survived WWII - who must have felt this sickness even more closely. Perhaps we should hope that the next species to rule the earth will find a less contentious way forward.

Hasn't worked in the last 4 billions years. I see no reason why that should change.
Also, when it comes to "innocents," there's a lot of hair-pulling about all the innocents in Gaza. No doubt, there are innocents suffering there, but, they, until now, at least, whole heartedly supported Hamas.

Oh, they still wholeheartedly support them and that support will get even deeper the more the Israeli reacts. The bad guy in their minds is not Hamas for attacking, the bad guy is Israel for not willingly walking into the ocean.

And that, ultimately, is the biggest difference when weighing the morality of both sides.

@George-K
Replace 'islam' by 'religion'.
Then I can agree.
Remember ' Gott mit uns'... -

Does a Palestinian born in Gaza have a meaningful choice of tribe?

Homogenizing a people does make it easier to do what the Hamas terrorists did - or what Israel with do to the Palestinians or what the Saudi terrorists did on 9/11 - though our nation seemed to have no problem seeing its way to isolating the Saudi terrorists from the rest of that country.

And right now we are in the fog of things. It has been said and seems credible if not yet verifiable, that more than Hamas fighters are involved.

50% of the residents are children. Hamas was voted in in 18 years ago this coming January.

So murderous conflict is cemented for another generation. And the existence of Israel is on a timer that ends when nukes are available to terrorists.
