It looks like the USA' much-better-than-expected September jobs report is not an isolated incident. Our northern neighbor also had a very good month with employment and wage gains.

Robert Spendlove, senior economist at Zions Bank, sees stability in the numbers.
Wells Fargo senior economist Tim Quinlan wrote [...] "Those forecasts [for a recession] have largely been pared, put-off or canceled altogether. To some extent the rationale for these more sanguine assessments is a recognition of the uncanny staying power of the consumer."
The "disappointments" from the "financial guys" are mostly about worrying that the Feds may have to raise interest rates some more because the jobs report is "too good," not that the jobs report itself is "bad."
