The pro tempore guy Rep. McHenry is threatening to quit if the House GOP pressures him to move legislation without explicitly voting to expand the pro tempore's powers.
I don't blame him. It would be chicken shit of the House GOP if they force the pro tempore to move legislation without having the courage to vote to give the pro tempore that power.

There wasn’t even another name considered. Literally a majority of the conference just voted for him to drop out of the race.
