The concerning part of that chart to me was how small the positive groups were. No religion had better than 35% approval.

When several of the larger mainline denominations start saying do what you want and make up a moral sounding justification for it, it’s no wonder that Dems are considering themselves more “spiritual” rather than religious.

The opposite of spiritual is being served grape juice during communion?

Jesus very clearly said 'WINE'. I was quite frankly appalled at this rejection of Biblical authority.

Questions to ask when it comes to believing in "god":

                            • Definition (or defining characteristics) of "god"
                            • Existence of "god" (based on the definition/characteristics above)
                            • Cardinality of "god", is there one god, multiple gods, fractional number of god(s), irrational number of god(s), imaginary number of god(s), complex/quartonion/octonion number of god(s), space-/time-varying number of god(s), indeterminate number of god(s), etc.
                            • Name(s)/common reference(s) for god(s), aliases for god(s)

At the same time, Democrats have become more "spiritual,"

Probably. Dovetails nicely with LuFin's observation.
