All good here. Rain coming down pretty good right now and was quite the windy night but still have power and no major limbs or trees down. Should be through by this evening.

BTW, folks, there's another disturbance in the African Train and it looks like it will make cyclone status in the next 24 hours. It's way out there and will be traveling West for a couple of days before turning NW.

        Y'all might get another one...

No wind, mostly nothingburger. Town's flooding. (It always floods though.)

We’re still not seeing the worst of it. The eye is still somewhere near Wilmington, NC, I believe. The weird thing is it’s cutting a little more inland. Luke and @Copper are to the East of the main line of the storm. Richmond and DC are directly in the path, but by the time it gets here it will be a depression and not a full blown storm.

I’m in Smithfield about 10min. or so from Copper. Spoke too soon on the power. Been out now for about an hour. Getting bands of wind/rain with lulls in between but not too bad.

When BIL built his new home in Florida, he transitioned from the portable generator he had In Jacksonville to a propane whole-house unit on the new home.

Said it was one of the best things he ever did...

Yes that is definitely on Mark's wish list. Power was down for about an hour. All back up now and no major issues, looks like the worst is past, moving a bit further west of us, still a few remnants on the radar but now I it looks like the majority of the bands are heading Richmond way.

Luke is being a smart ass sending us gideos of the wet driveway at his GF’s and talking about the tremendous flooding. He points out a puddle and states “that’s standing water… Dad told me not to drive through standing water…”

You are responsible for him being in this world, so I see no reason you can't take him out of it...
