The hiring ad says the candidate must be a "Lesbian Who Tech" participant, not that the candidate must be a lesbian.

Lesbians Who Tech is not exclusively for lesbians. It’s open to all members of the alphabet community and straight people of color.

How about if I changed the ad to “Wanted: Bi-curious Female Marketing Intern. Must be female, and must be at least curious to exploring bisexuality.”

Maybe i am reading it wrong, but it does seem legal.
Let us say that you want to hire someone for the (looks up a race organization) NAACP.
In your application, you say that "must be a current member of the NAACP". Seems like that would be okay. Not sure if that would be different.
