What is the goal? Make sure all the beans are counted and accounted then take a decision so that all the beans counted will be there to account for in future accounting. Seems like an accountable goal regardless of how unreasonable it is.
Not convinced there needs to be a goal other than not crater the health care system.

@Copper said in American Response to the Pandemic:
Dr. Fauci at the ball game
Apparently it is real
Yeah. Presumably the woman to his left is his wife, so she should be totally safe in terms of risk.
He said the guy to his right was "a close friend."
OK, "close friend," tell us about your potential exposure...

I thought that we can't all be cooped up and need to get back to our lives? I thought staying at home was tyranny?

I thought Trump was an asshole for not wearing a mask?

He is. And it's weird that in that news story, Fauci seems to not practice what he preaches. That seems crappy. But I'm an advocate of masks in public. Those who aren't but still criticize Fauci sound like bigger hypocrites than Fauci does.

Yeah, but crapping on him for every thing in the world gets old. And loses any effectiveness....Wolf! Wolf! Wolf!...Well, y'all get the drift...

Well, the toilet has a helluva lot more on the ball than the drooling racketeer the Dems are nominating, wouldn't you say?

You mean you support a doddering old man for President? A temporary placeholder who will pack it in within the first twenty-four months?
The same guy who illegally strong-armed the Ukrainian government, used influence peddling to make his son rich on Chinese money and used the FBI to illegally spy on an opposing political candidate?

That statement makes the Ukrainian government sound like a victim. It is not, despite the fact it likes to present itself as one.

I really can't take seriously criticisms of Biden from the same groups that give Trump a pass. Framing Biden as a Deep State overlord while at the same time an addled fool is too much to ingest, doubly so when compared against the mountain of bullshit Trump's life has been about.
Backfire Effect in full illustration.

I think we have reached the point where Mr. Trump's opposition is more impolite than Mr. Trump.
It is hard to believe that such a thing could happen.
Sad

Fully jaded people would say either choice is just as bad.
The interesting part is that those that want to be in the middle and just want their return to normalcy are being forced to choose. Those on the left that believe Trump will win wont allow themselves to realize that their fear is that enough in the middle will go Trump’s way.

I have no idea which choice is worse. I worry about what Biden would kowtow to, and Trump's Trump.
