Buy iPhone or Apple Stock?

I'm not upgrading from my 12, but I have a standing recommendation that everybody else does so, every year.
Sorry @Horace I am still using the iPhone 7 plus, and probably will until they stop allowing upgrades to it. LOL

That's impressive that it still works. Apple makes such solid, long lasting products. Super impressive company IMO.

@Horace It has been a very good phone. I was proud of myself that I changed the battery by myself, as the short battery life was my only dislike, but that is now not a problem anymore.
However, if I ever had to take the batter in again, I would probably take it to one of those repair shops. If I figure what my time is worth, it probably cost more to do by myself. LOL
Though again, my time may not be worth that much and so maybe it was worth it. 555

Life is a sequence of present experiences. If you felt good about changing the battery and felt engaged in doing so, it was a good thing to do.

I have an old iPhone 8 whose battery was getting old. A repair shop wanted about $150 to replace it. I could get a refurbed phone for less than that. I opted to not replace and just keep it plugged in. It sits in the car and is an "emergency" or "Damn, I forgot my phone at home" device.

I’m actually upgrading from a 14 I bought three months ago.
But it’s not as crazy as it sounds.
I was limping along with my 11, holding out until I could get a phone with USB-C. But the screen crapped out and I had to get a new phone. I was going to get an old 11 to tie me over, but then suggested to the gf that I get a 14, use it for a few months, and then give it to her when I upgrade. She doesn’t care about the connector.
You’re welcome, Horace.

I have a 12 Pro, works fine for me. I use my phone every day so it's not even about the cost, it's whether there are compelling features. From what I can tell, the 15 has a better chip, better camera, and USB-C. None of that really strikes me since the 12 Pro camera is great, IMO. Heck, with little kids, the camera is probably the most important feature.
What would really sell me, and it will never happen, was if it was just a TAD smaller. The iPhone 15 doesn't even have a MINI model, @George-K !!!!! Man I would love to have a screensize like the iPhone X or 8 or whatever was before the current size.

It is not a tad smaller, it's actually a tad bigger and a tad heavier than the 12 Pro
He means in terms of what he's talking about, which is pretty much what Ax does.
