I mean, that sucks but what else could the plane do about it? You either accept the gross/blanket seat or you leave the plane. They can't just magically make new seats appear.

      Well, this, perhaps?

the staff seemed reluctant to give them blankets to cover their seats.

Yeah I read that, I thought it meant they got blankets but only after asking more than once.

I stand corrected, from the source (see FB post below), it seems the plane indeed kicked them off for "being rude" (the witness said they were upset but not rude) to the flight attendants. Not a good look for Air Canada, eh?

If excrement is a biohazard, then surely vomit is as well. I suspect they have stocks of seat cushions in various places.

Seems that this incident is turning into an even bigger and more costly embarrassment for Air Canada. Rightfully so as well.

As a parent with memories of potty training days I would posit that it was dripping down their pant leg.

Had their pants been down it wouldn’t be so neatly arranged on the center of the floor.

Which means it was a lot of diarrhea.

I believe the parenting term of endearment for that sort of explosive lower body incident is a poonami.

i was on a flight one time from London - Hong Kong, and the kid across the aisle from me threw up on the center aisle. Fortunately, it was right before landing, so not too much a inconvenience. However, i did wonder what they did after the passengers left to clean it up. During the rest of the flight, they just laid a bunch of blankets on top of it.

Many decades ago, I was attending a Vladamir Horowitz concert. Of course, it was a sell-out with stage seating. Entering the building a young woman threw up on an impeccably dressed man. She apologized. He was speechless. I had a stage seat. Guess who was sitting next to me? During the first piece, she took her purse, dropped its entire contents onto her lap and then threw up into her purse. As Horowitz left the stage, he was surprised to see the young woman exiting with him. Fortunately, she did not return.
