Nats gave Stephen Strasberg $245 Million in 2020. Since then he’s pitched 31 innings and given up 25 runs.

In order to afford the contract, Nats had to trade away perennial all pro and Cy Young Winner Max Scherzer, All Stars Trea Turner and Anthony Rendon, and 3 x Silver Slugger Juan Soto.

Strasburg just announced his retirement. And yes, he will get paid every penny of the $245 Million.

Mr. Biden's 2020 campaign cost a little over a $billion, about the same as Mr. Trump.

So $245 isn't as much as it might seem, remember, it has to last him for years.

Wow does he really get all of that cash? You’d think there would be retirement clauses or maybe because this is because of injuries… that’s like $8 million per inning.
