      Republicans view the supplement as a disincentive to return to work. Democrats think cutting off aid would cause financial hardship for millions.

      Obviously both are true. Find a new number that reduces both effects.

      Only non-witches get due process.

        Agree. New number or way of reducing the subsidy if employment offer is declined. That might be impossible to manage.

                How about a $300 extension AND a $600 (1 time) grant for those returning to work to help cover their increased costs...
