A MiG-23, 2 pilots ejected
One story says 2 pilots, one says 3 (I believe 2)
After ejection, they landed in a lake and were ok
This accident is already in the wiki:
-
the plane crashed into a parking lot and totaled some cars. missed an apartment house. lucky ending, could have been much worse
-
-
"The pilot and backseater successfully ejected from the aircraft before the crash," Wayne County Airport Authority stated. "While it did not appear they sustained any significant injuries, first responders transported the pair to a nearby hospital as a precaution."
-
The aircraft then went on to crash, as seen in the video, into vehicles at the Waverly on the Lake Apartments in Belleville. No one was inside the vehicles.
-
It looked as if the engine experienced a compressor backfire before it went down, which could possibly be related to a bird in the engine.
-
The airshow was halted due to the incident.

Two people who were aboard a World War II historical plane were killed Saturday when the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Chino Airport in Southern California, firefighters said.
The private Lockheed L12 aircraft was off the runway approximately 200 yards away in a grass field, when firefighters arrived around 12:35 p.m., Bryan Turner, the battalion chief with Chino Valley Fire District, told ABC News.

This guy claims that the pilot tried to take off with flaps extended - this aircraft is not capable of doing this because is has something called "split flaps."

Took my kids to a local (and I mean LOCAL) airshow yesterday. They were offering $60 helicopter or airplane rides. Took the 6 and 3 year old up in a Piper (Cherokee?), and boy did they have fun. Age limit was 4, but the person just said "tell me they are 4 and it's fine" LOL. Anyway... as a youtube consumer of airshow crashes, I'm glad we survived.

I gave a lot of rides like that, fun stuff.
Good for you. Absolute core memory for my kids. Wish I could share the video here but you hear my kids saying: “this is the fastest plane ever! hey we are flying!! I can see Disney world! I can see the ocean!”
Our pilot was a young fella but very professional the whole time, even though he flew the loop many times that day he was following the flight plan very strictly.
