OK, 89th - tell us about Dean Phillips

I can tell you everything you need to know. He’s a Minnesota Democrat, therefore he’s weird. I don’t mean slightly off, eccentric, or whimsical… I mean WEIRD.

In terms of policy, he's certainly not for me. That being said, he does send out a weekly newsletter recapping what he's been involved with, which is helpful. At the end of each email he includes a clickable YES/NO poll for legislation he's looking at to gauge constituency support, and has various resources (such as a way to sign up to have a donut breakfast with him). Anyway... policies not for me, but he does embrace one of the better approaches for representing our district.

My congressman, twice-failed mayoral candidate, and SBF donation recipient Chuy García has done nothing of the sort, let alone a newsletter.

Dean doesn't have a chance this time around, unless Biden kicks the bucket in the next year (not improbable), but I think he: A) Actually does think there is a big risk in Nov next year if it's Biden vs Trump
 B) Wants to get his name out there for eventual 2028 recognitionand @jon-nyc LOL

Definitely. I'm sending my kid to the bus stop and it feels like -7 out right now. Fun fact, did you know elementary schools send kids to the playground for recess outside unless it's -10 degrees or colder. And I just got back from Virginia where they closed schools early because of wind.
