Does anyone have a wireless meat thermometer?

w00t has them on sale today, and I'm thinking that it might be useful for cooking steaks (in the cold skillet fashion).

I'm pretty sure there's an extremely offensive joke in there somewhere.

      I was only joking

I had a MeatStick. I never used it, and eventually it broke. I guess there's an extremely offensive joke in there somewhere. But other than that, it was expensive and unreliable and complicated. That was years ago, maybe they are better now.

I have the Meater wireless thermometer. Haven't used it yet (just got it) but it's premium ($$) and seems like it'll be very useful for larger cuts of meat like steak. I look forward to using it, but no reviews as of now. I think it's like $99 for one, and $299 for a 4-pack.

@89th why would you want a 4-pack, 4 people want their steaks 4 different ways?

ETA: w00t has that Meater Plus for $78 today.

That's a good deal! And yes, if you needed to track different cooking preferences.

Me too, and it has no wires.

If I'm doing a roast, I might use my Inkbird wired unit, but only something that cooks a long time and is temperature sensitive.
