As for the Twitter thread, it’s easy to make tall, slim men look good. I would like to see all the author’s “principles for good tailoring” stress tested on the likes of Peter Dinklage and Kevin James before calling them good.

Same here. Although the collar "pointing" to the lapel notch is a nice touch, I prefer the longer down-pointing collar, or, like @Mik , a button-down.

For a practical dress shirt I prefer button-down, but for a more formal dress shirt I prefer no buttons… I saw a dress shirt requiring cuff links, but with a button down collar. Stupid.
