Has anyone used those reusable "ice" cubes that do into your drink to chill and keep your drink without dilution?

    I might be interested.

No, we just have the ice balls, but they dilute.

The reviews I've seen are pretty positive on the stainless steel cubes (not balls). As effective as regular ice cubes in cooling off a liquid in about 4 minutes - within 1-2 degrees - and no dilution.

Sounds like a $15 experiment worth trying.

No Schwetty Balls jokes yet. You guys are slipping.

I’ve tried the (ceramic?) reusable cubes but didn’t think they worked as well as ice. The Brits don’t typically use a lot of ice and I drink Scotch without it

              I was only joking

Wait, you drink your whiskey slow enough for ice to melt?

I don’t use ice in my scotch btw.

Although my parents in law have the ice balls from their freezer and I admit they are nice in drinks, even water or soft drinks. They seem to melt slower and they don’t bang against your teeth as much as you sip.

Stainless steel can give off an odor that may affect the way it tastes to you. I can’t use stainless steel coffee tumblers, for instance…

Why would you want cold whisky?
