How does 69 feel to you?

Ah, a completely innocent title to get your attention.
I do not like a warm house, and our thermostat is normally kept at 74, which feels fine to me. Our basement does get down to 67 which is chilly…but again, I don’t like warm and 74 is fine with me.
My parents are visiting soon and said they keep their house in Virginia at 68-69 degrees.
My question to the group is… are you like me where you find a temperature in one house can feel totally different in another house? If we kept our whole house at 69 degrees the AC would be running hard all day to get it there.

You should have asked me 4 years ago...
But, srsly, we keep it at 72-73 in the daytime, cooling down to 70 for sleep.
I have no other suggestion other than a portable A/C you can wheel from room to room. I know they exist, but have no knowledge of how good they are.

We keep it at 76 or so. Feels cool compared to outside.

I hang out upstairs - 76
My wife downstairs - 72-73
Heat rises so it works
Subtract a few degrees for winter, add a sweatshirt

From Virginia: Same as your parents, but I can live with a few degrees cooler.

Wow. You guys keep your apartments cold. I have mine set to 78 F. Sometime up to 80 when it is super super hot outside and it is hard for the A/C to keep up.

Humidity is the kicker for me, not temperature. If it’s dry, 80 degrees can be quite pleasant. If it’s humid, misery stalks me like a big sweaty stalky thing
