No googling - How old do you think Delilah is?

Karla, Fin, and I were driving home from Dinner, and Karla was changing the radio stations when I heard the familiar jingle “De-Li-La”… Now I’ve heard that jingle going back at least 35 years, and it made me realize that this was a radio personality that I knew absolutely nothing about… So Karla and I went on a Google quest…
So how old do you think she is?

I’d guess she’s 60? I do recall seeing a story of hers, and sadly I can’t recall the details but I feel like it involved tragedy, such as the death of her child.
I haven’t heard her in a while but do recall listening to her in the past and it always being a calming radio experience.

She does an evening show on the radio. Typically on the adult contemporary station that switches to all Christmas Music on Thanksgiving. She tells these little insipid romantic stories between songs and to this day she still gets listeners to call in for relationship advice and special requests.
She’s based in the Pacific Northwest and the show is syndicated nationally. In Chicago she’s on 93.9 LITE FM.
She is 63, but that means she must have started on the radio straight out of college, maybe even HS. I was sure she had to have been in her 80s by now. Karla was surprised that she was still on the air, too.
