I'm, once more, baffled by the amount of repertoire these pianists are expected to play during the competition.

First round, 40-50 minutes of solo repertoire.
Second round, 50-60 minutes of solo repertoire.
Third round, two (!!) full piano concertos.

I need many weeks of practice for a mediocre rendition of a 5 minute piece. How can these kids learn that much repertoire on that professional level? I find that really impressive.

        They are good at piano.

        Education is extremely important.

They appear to be good at just about everything.

There were 3 other finalists, but they were all losers that don't fit my narrative.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
