Airport work is dicey

A ramp worker at the San Antonio International Airport who was "ingested" into a plane engine died of suicide, authorities said Monday.
The airport employee died Friday night after getting caught in the engine of a Delta Air Lines plane that arrived from Los Angeles and was taxiing to the gate, the National Transportation Safety Board previously said in a statement.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the cause of the death as suicide Monday.
An investigation into the incident by the NTSB has been canceled in light of the medical examiner's findings, the agency said in a statement.
"There were no operational safety issues with either the airplane or the airport," the NTSB said.

SAN ANTONIO – A New Braunfels woman has filed a lawsuit seeking $1 million in damages after witnessing a man being “ingested” into the engine of the airplane she was on at San Antonio International Airport.
The lawsuit names Unifi Aviation and the estate of the man who died by suicide as defendants. -

Suing the guy who killed himself, that’s a new one.
I thought the same thing.
Yes, of course it would have been traumatic for her, and I may be wrong, but I am not sure how much she really could have seen from her seat.

Pure financial opportunism. The lawyer may have canvassed the list of passengers for a willing plaintiff.

Agree. Like most of the lawsuits that I think are goofy
