Gosh, I wonder who we could be thinking of?

          Small ship, but quite effective.

I’m clearly no expert but a good old fashion one ton (guided) bomb delivered via jet instead of a submarine-delivered torpedo seems to be a much cheaper, agile, simple, and safer option to take out a ship. Keep tactics simple. It’s impressive ships aren’t more easily destroyed but I guess we haven’t had a naval big war in a while.

We haven't fought anyone with the ability to take out our ships since WWII.
