    Yes, I love that, too.

    The top one was featured on the local news channel.

    Awesome, indeed.

    What equipment was he using (asking for @Mark)?

    He was using the camera he gave me for Christmas so that he could use it. 😆

    It's okay. There's no way he can question any of my purchases, and I'm having fun with that. 😆 😆 😆

    I'll have to check to see what kind of camera it is. I'm not into photography. That's his hobby. I just take pics with my phone.

          Instagram? I don't think so. Why do you ask?

            I tried to take a photo last night but was not successful. Too much light pollution. I did set up the binocular mount that I purchased about 20 years ago at a star party. It keeps the big binoculars rock solid steady.

            We had a nice porterhouse on the Weber, an old vine zin, and comet NEOWISE, as our Saturday night highlights. The heat, humidity, and mosquitoes drove us back inside after about 10 minutes.

              Just wondered. 🙂 I got back into photo things a few years ago.

                @mark

                Too bad the weather and bugs interfered with your excellent plans, Mark. I hope dinner was as good as it sounds.

                Hubby and I drove out into the country to get away from the light pollution, and we found a couple spots that worked pretty well. The bugs and coyotes are thick out there. I stayed in the vehicle to avoid the bugs. In one of the locations, the coyotes were howling up a storm. The night hubby got those two pics above, he said the coyotes were so close it made him a little nervous. That night I didn't go with him, but maybe I should have. He said they sounded about a hundred yards away.

                  These things work

                  For the spray I think the pump is more reliable

                    Every tried a propane-based mosquito trap? I’ve heard it covers about an acre and works like a charm. Millions of mosquitos are killed over a week.

                      Jolly probably has recommendations for how to handle the coyotes, too.
