World champion sprinter and three-time Olympic medalist Tori Bowie died from complications of childbirth, according to an autopsy report ...

    Condolences to the Bowie family.

It's just very rare to read about an elite athlete dying from childbirth complications.

She was "estimated to be 8 months pregnant and undergoing labor at the time of her death in May."

She was found "Sheriff deputies conducted a welfare check at a home after receiving reports a woman in her early 30s "had not been seen or heard from in several days."

IOW, she went into labor, being eclamptic, and, I assume didn't seek medical attention. Was there anyone with her at the time of her unfortunate demise?

I've seen lots of pre-eclamptics, and seen (checks memory....) none of them die when treated.

The maternal mortality statistics of black women are a favorite amongst the race hustlers.

        Education is extremely important.

Luckily the increase of women with penises is helping decrease the maternity mortality rates.

@89th said in Olympic medalist died from childbirth complications:

            Never considered that.

Thanks for bringing a measure of sanity to the forum.

Maybe she was a Christian Scientist or some other denomination that doesn’t subscribe to medical practices.

              Elbows up!
