If the charge is violation of the espionage act, that's going to be a heavy lift if DOJ doesn't want to pursue the same charges against other public figures.
OTOH...obstruction might be easier and more likely.

The best hope for the GOP is for Trump to somehow be criminally unable to run for President. There are many things I like about Trump... but the GOP bench is too deep, and the DEM bench is too empty, for the GOP to put Trump back on the ticket only to lose, again... and not accept the results, again.

It takes a person who's natural inclination is to be ruled by reasoned sanity, to be considered electable by the majority of conservative voters. The Trump effect, may it dissipate as soon as possible, notwithstanding. It takes an indoctrinated magical thinker to be considered electable to the majority of progressive voters. Just look at who they elect in San Francisco or Chicago.
