That is great. Glad the meeting went well. It’s amazing the connection you can make with a coworker over dinner or drinks.

I received an official offer from my long-time business associate and friend tonight.

Salary is the same as where I am at now. I'm not confident that a meaningful raise is in the cards at the current job.

It's a lot to think about. The health insurance is awesome. Zero deductible and zero out of pocket expense. IRA with 3% match. Work from home 3 or more days per week. Mileage reimbursement.

First 3 months he wants me at the office with 80 miles on the car 5 days a week. Ugh. I am going to negotiate that one. I figure I will be just as productive with 3 days per week initially then down to one or two.

It will be a change for sure.

I have flexibility to start on December 1 or January 1.

I am getting very tired of the job I have now. It's mind numbingly boring most of the time and I am well into the thought process that I need to leave. I really like the people where I work but my mental status is not doing so well with the job and the fact that I have to be there all day most of the time.

It's good to have this option and I am 90% sure I will be moving on.

Same. Money is not everything. Mental health and enjoyment of your job is more important.

I gave notice yesterday. I start the new job December 1. Initially it will be 3 days at the office, working down to 1 or 2 if needed. Really excited about the change. I am switching back to an iPhone 🤣 I don't know how I'm going to like that tbh. I really prefer the Android OS.

We have an office dog! Gordy or Gordo, is a very cool aspect of this job.

At my elementary/middle school, there was a dog that lived across the street, and we kept the school door open for him to come and go. The office staff left food and water, and he would come in, have something the eat and drink, wander the hallways, leave and then come back later. We called him "Honey"
