Who still has a (Edit insert here) four copper-wire landline?
I do. Neither Mrs. George nor I want to always be near a cellphone. Having a landline with multiple phones throughout the house is a luxury I'm not ready to part with.
And...if cell service is sketchy, or power goes out - I still have a phone in the house. Reliability is worth it.

DSL, co-ax, and fiber optic cables are technically landlines, so most of us still have landlines.

LOL.
When we were in Virginia in our condo, we had that earthquake and lost cell service for a while. So I wanted a landline installed. Talk about a foreign concept to Verizon or any other phone company representative. It took like 5 tries to get someone to understand I didn't want VoIP, I wanted COPPER landlines... self-powered, reliable, not using cell towers. Eventually we got the service, but never ended up using it.

On a vaguely related note - A friend of ours' mother passed away a couple of years back, and she was famous for using her cell phone non-stop. As a bit of a joke, they put her cell phone in the coffin with her. You can probably guess what happened half way through the funeral service.

My impression is that it's all converted to some form of VoIP at some point.

We still have landlines, there are two sets going to every home in our area. For a while I had the second landline as a business line. Our problem is that we are in a lousy cell phone reception area, even with boosters. So, I'm keeping the landline for a bit longer, until they ramp up the coverage and provide options other than Comcast for cable service.
It was good to have the land line when we lost power during the ice storm a couple of years ago. And we do lose power a few times each year due to storms. There's always a tree somewhere that falls on power lines deliberately to make my day. -

That might be, but if we lose power or internet in our condo, I still have landline service.

There's another factor that's making me keep our landline.
To "buzz" a visitor into our condo, the visitor enters or code in the panel in the outer lobby. That causes the phone in our home to ring and we "buzz" them in by pressing "6" on the keypad.
It's possible to get that ability transferred to you cellphone, but I believe it's only one phone # that can be enabled. That means that it's either Mrs. George's cellphone or mine, and that phone always has to be nearby. Much, much, easier to have a bunch of landline phones throughout the house. We have 7...
