This used to annoy the hell out of me when I was commuting from downtown to suburbs.

I pick a lane, stay in it, and...I might get to the off ramp about the same time as everyone else.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

If they all drove like Mr. Larson, there would be no traffic.

I was a left lane guy, but not weaving in and out. That gets you nowhere.

LOL. I agree. I was with some friends driving to Chicago and when we started, we were next to a box truck that was easily identified. My friend was switching from lane to lane, and after doing this for a number of miles, we looked over and were right next to the same box truck who had never changed lanes. 555

I confess, I'm a traffic weaver. I know it's not efficient, and that the gain isn't worth the risk. But it's just who I am....

It's more fun, too. I'm not a hardcore weaver, too dangerous, but I will seek out the more efficient lane. For example, if I'm coming up to a stoplight and there are 2 lanes to pick from... and if my lane has 4 cars stopped at the light (and I would be the 5th), and the other lane has 1 or zero cars, I always switch to that lane. My wife doesn't. That's a good example of her style and my style.

Plus, I find switching at the red light to the shorter line is the equivalent of passing like 5 n00bs at speed, lolz

It’s the cabs did that to you.
