    I would'nt be too keen on getting on one of these. Not yet, anyway. That's not much of a charge if you are in desert climates requiring A/C.

      Fascinating stuff. I can seeing hybrid seaplanes being quite useful up here.

            100 miles is probably under ideal conditions with a new engine, skinny passengers and no wind.

            Throw in some fatso passengers, rain, wind, traffic and aging planes, and 100 miles will be a distant memory.

            And maybe add a little safety factor.

              Add in the weight of the batteries, which unlike fuel stays the same.

              Not saying it’s a bad idea, I’m just not an early adopter.
