I could imagine it, it's not like he needs any more money. His best best is be Trump's main champion (and perhaps VP?) to inherit his base in later years, rather than take him on now. He's young enough to wait 4 years.

Lots of theories about what happened.
- His coverage of Ray Epps (right after 60 Minutes did a story)
- Dominion liability (but others pushed it as well, and they're still there
- Supposedly (?) he's not a Trump fanboi and was pushed to support him.

Tucker was not named in the Dominion suit, IIRC.

You're right. None of the talking heads were. However, he was pointed to as one of the cheerleaders of the theory.

Fox Corporation erased $930 million in market value on Monday after announcing Tucker Carlson would depart Fox News.
The split came one week after the company settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems.
Tucker Carlson has consistently had one of the most-watched news shows on cable TV.
Fox Corporation stock fell as much as 5% on Monday and erased $930 million in market value after it was announced that Fox News Media parted ways with host Tucker Carlson.
Shares of the media company recovered slightly and were trading at $29.61, down almost 4% at 12:15 p.m. ET.
