I wonder if they have to say/print/broadcast something publicly.

I wish Sandman had gotten a public statement from his defendants, but I think he only got money.

Yes but that’s a corporate press release, like any company might issue. It didn’t get broadcast on their channels.

$787.5 Million.
Fear not Tucker can probably cover it.
“How much is $787.5 million for Fox? A recent corporate filing showed that the Fox Corporation had about $4.1 billion “of cash and cash equivalents” on hand at the end of last year.”
So they won’t go broke, but no matter how much money you have you don’t want to give away a fifth of it.

A Twitter Lawyer:
"The judge had ruled the statements made by Fox were false, meaning the jury would be told that several elements of defamation had been determined, leaving the fight over malice and money. Hence the 11th hour settlement."

CNN has the sads that a settlement was reached.
"Chump change."
Who you gonna believe, CNN or @jon-nyc ?

I see that with many on social media. They wanted to humiliate Fox more than compensate Dominion. I’m sure Dominion got more or less what they wanted here.

Well, Fox really, really, really did not want to go to trial.

And have Hannity, et al testify? Of course not!

This settlement is second only to the Alex Jones verdict in size for libel.
The difference is, Jones will never pay the full 965MM as he doesn’t have it.
That sort of makes this #1.

It will be intersesting if Fox News personalities (and other news shows) change their talking during the next elections.
