I forget where I heard the idea that "Turkish" is the universal amplifier.
Prison? Bad. Turkish Prison? Terribad.
Coffee? Awake. Turkish Coffee? Jacked.

Whenever I look at flights to the UK on Expedia, the cheapest ones to show up are always Turkish Airlines.
I have yet to use the airline.

Actually Turkish Airlines was one the preferred airlines for western business travellers when I was travelling into Central Asia and the Former Soviet Union in the '90's. I never heard a bad word about it from any of my colleagues who used it on a regular basis. They always looked forward to the overnight stay in Istanbul when travelling on it from Toronto or the USA.
