Should the manifesto be released?

"White privlages"? Sounds like a woke Democrat.
But “faggots” twice? Not so much. Oddly, that didn’t make crowders list of phrases to quote in his tweet.

It's a general-purpose insult, not meant to denigrate members of the lgbtq+ community, of which the shooter was a part, as far as I'm aware.

She was a cracker, as well.

Uncracked, I presume.

Crackers are allowed to call themselves crackers too. Last time I was in the Everglades our airboat driver had a neck tattoo that said cracker in good sized letters.

I would have expected comments about their being Christians or bigots or Christian bigots or something.

What motivates that wording? Some desperate hope that people will think that the police said the photos are fake?

Preventing the release of shooter manifestos is the bare minimum that governments and new outlets should do. Preventing the name and photo of the shooter should also be a thing. Enforcing anonymity is basically the only thing we can do to reduce mass shootings in the future.

I did notice a pattern in headlines about the recent shooting in Maine. Lots of headlines of the form "Who is <x>?". Where x would have been the murderer in past years, but now, x is one of the victims.

Well, it's been a year, and still no manifesto.
As we approach International Transgender Day of Visibility (the 31st this year), should we know what was in it?

No. Block manifestos. Reduce psycho exposure and copy cats.

But they won’t. The practical question is, do you prefer all manifestos be released, or only the ones that enhance certain narratives? I would prefer they all be released. I appreciate the wish that none be released, but that won’t happen.

For your question, I would prefer all.
