Speaking of AI and Neil

Ok, clickbait. These topics and dumb thoughts you're about to read are not connected other than a commentary about time.
- Saw a clip of Neil deGrasse Tyson on Colbert making an interesting point. Basically, as the universe expands, eventually (eventually.......) you will no longer see stars, galaxies, etc... because they've moved too far away from "our horizon". But more poignantly, if that makes you sad, think about the fact that we are now using modern technology to view things that are only visible now......what objects were visible 100, 500, or thousands of a years ago that would be invaluable to see now? In other words, we'll never know what we just missed out on seeing.
(the accuracy of that statement I'm sure will be brutalized by Aqua and Mark)
- A friend made a comment the other day that basically said we were lucky to have lived in a time (approximately the last 100 years) in human history where we were able to produce and see pictures/videos of the past, without worry of them being fake. 200 years ago? No photos. 10 years from now? Every photo has the potential to be fake without being able to prove otherwise.
