The silly thing is: If I could vote in the US and West would be a candidate, I would maybe even prefer him over Trump and Biden. I know nothing about his policies (if he has any), so there is at least some hope.

Maybe. As I said, I know next to nothing about the guy. I don't think I ever heard any of his songs. But there's always the possibility of a positive surprise in the unknown

Having looked up cultural relativism (and getting mighty damn tired of having to look stuff up all the time. It wasn't that long ago I could go every three-six months before needing to look something up, if then) I will say I too am no cultural relativist. These days especially I gleefully reserve the right to despise anything I damn well please.
