Is this some kind of joke?

I fear not.
Before Trump I'd have laughed and gone about my day. Now? The US can elect anybody. We could elect a flippin' goldfish.

Probably more like a publicity stunt but that doesn’t mean he won’t try

I don’t know how feasible it is to get on any state ballots but he could also be doing this as a favor to Trump to spilt the black vote.

Or maybe it’s a play to be Trump’s VP

He could win
He has the most important qualification

Would that even work? Would blacks vote for him only because he is black? Also, he would steal votes from Trump.

I briefly checked BET.com, HuffPo’s “Black Voice” section, OprahMag.com, Blavity, Shondaland, The Root ... none of them say anything about Mr. Kanye West running for President. Doesn’t look like Mr. West is getting any traction.

Social media blew up last evening in the words of a young person. I think the target audience is atwitter.

You could see stuff like this from a mile down the street.
Celebrity politicians are a big thing in developing democracies.
I fear we’re about to smell the legislation that The Rock is cooking.
Trump may be the beginning of the clown show.

Kanye has certainly filled the Biden void.

He would get some black votes.
But he would get all woke votes.

The silly thing is: If I could vote in the US and West would be a candidate, I would maybe even prefer him over Trump and Biden. I know nothing about his policies (if he has any), so there is at least some hope.

I'm not so sure. There's nothing the "woke" detest more than a confident black man who doesn't want to be a victim.

But his wife is a porn star, certainly that is worth something.

Is she? Or just soft porn like the current First Lady?

Wiki says "Pornographic video"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Kardashian
I have no basis for judging this sort of thing.

Ok, so they’ll pull the “slutty First Lady” votes away from Trump too.
