    I was in Whole Foods today to buy bread. Several of the employees' aprons had their pronouns on them.

    You can put them out there all you want. I'll just call you 'hey you'. How self-absorbed do you have to be to think that you can dictate how people refer to you? Who do you think you are, Phibes British royalty?

      @Mik

      The other weird thing is pronouns are used when you’re talking about someone, not to someone. How is this useful in the store setting? Are you going to talk to the fish guy about the produce guy?

      If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

        Excellent point. It's just virtue signalling.

          I don’t want to accidentally misgender anybody so from now on I am just going to refer to everyone as dumbass.

            @LuFins-Dad what, you're a biologist now?

              Weird. I think it’s a way to indicate you’re woke without admitting it. I’m happy to not be woke. I’m fact, I fall asleep quite quickly these days.

                I am. At least that's what the degree says.

                I shall continue to refer to people as him or her, he or she. And maybe, just maybe for the hell of it, I'll sneak some Thee and Thou's in there.
