Mrs. George had a 2011 328i X-drive. She didn't care for it because the suspension and steering were too stiff for her taste. I didn't mind it at all, LOL.
I like the extendable thigh support in the driver's seat, by the way.
The 5 series cars are less stiff than the 3 series cars. I considered a 3 series car at first, but I also like some comfort more. Also, as used cars, the 5 series cars are better value for the money (i.e., they drop in price quicker).

I guess so.
Over here there's a saying that "right of way" is a frequently requested extra you can buy for your BMW.
