          We all have our favorites. I have a friend who claims I can make the word "ruined" into 3 syllables - Ru-in-duh as opposed to the more accepted roond.

                    In American movies and TV my ear always hears the word vehicle pronounced Vee-hickel.

                    Around these parts the “h” is devocalised or silent so the word sounds as Vee-ickle.

                        Around these parts the “h” is devocalised or silent so the word sounds as Vee-ickle.
