We’ll see by Halloween how predictive this is.

        What is the goal?

        Zero get infected?

        OK, then never open anything.

        A few get infected?

        Open some things.

So what, specifically, is the plan when a teacher gets Covid? How about students? Food handlers?

It would be interesting to know how many schools simply haven’t figured it out yet.

I can't remember where I saw it (North Clackamas School District?) but the "plan" was something like if 3 kids test positive the entire school shuts down again for 14 days.

          Sounds like a bumpy ride.

Curious as to why they start school so early. Private school maybe?

The crops are in the field.

They'll need time off at harvest.

Some places just start early. When we were in NC they started mid-August.

In AZ they start crazy early.

If schools don't open, people can't work.

                        It's that simple.

Sonetimes, the hide goes with the hair.

"The rules bar students from using social media during the day or using recording devices without the permission of an administrator."

Clear violation of the rules. Although one could argue this is a public safety issue that required public attention.

Lucky kid. The suspension can be the centerpiece of his essay to get into Columbia journalism school.

He was shouting "fire!" in a movie theatre. The thing is, there was basically a fire in the movie theatre.

I am so glad my daughter is not teaching this year. She'll be in classes, but as a grad student and in very small classes.
