“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

One of the more profound etymological factoids is that the first four letters of culture are cult.

      Education is extremely important.

No, actually it's more an affirmation that people who join 'cults' are psychologically normative, if maybe on one end of some distribution or another. Neediness, credulity, etc. But we're wired to receive our truths and accept them, based on what those around us find socially acceptable. We're also wired to receive and accept hatreds or disgusts.

          Education is extremely important.

What’s the difference between a cult and a religion?

            Just numbers?

            I was only joking

Interesting article, easy read, thanks for posting.
Not sure how much I agree with, but it's always either easy or hard to agree with a wide-brush approach. I mean, something has to be right, right?

Meh, I’d likely never even find the thread.

Good questions. I suspect that in some cases cults can and do become religious denominations. Christian Science comes immediately to mind.
