Well, at least lawn mowers and leaf blowers.

    https://minnesotareformer.com/briefs/house-democrats-introduce-ban-on-new-gas-lawn-mowers-in-2025/

That being said, I did do a report in grad school that dug into the carbon emissions from lawn mowers and it was astounding how, in aggregate, bad they were for the environment.

That being said, again... last year I bought a gas-powered mower. Maybe it's power, or nostalgia, but I enjoy the sound and smell of a gas powered mower when I cut the grass.

That being said, again... I have a few neighbors who have electric mowers and, honestly, they seem pretty damn powerful and look cool.

I have mechanical push mower. It's fun to use, highly recommend. I suppose you have acres of land that you need to mow. Must suck when you have to shovel snow off your whole backyard, to get to the grass so you can mow it during winter.

      Education is extremely important.

I would love to see an electric John Deere that has all of the capabilities of my current model. I won't hold my breath.

2 acres, 1/10th mile driveway with two "parking areas" + a 1,500sqft flat garage roof/patio that I keep clear of snow.

Just one Hollywood celeb taking their Gulfstream from LA to DC to get a Kennedy Center award creates more carbon emissions than 1,000 years of mowing with my Sears riding mower.

I've bought a few electric yard maintenance tools recently - hedge trimmer, lawn trimmer, leaf blower - the convenience and zero maintenance aspect is great.

A bit pricey to get going - and a little underpowered vs. gas - but the zero maintenance part is nice.

And I think that's their niche.

Picked up that bad boy last fall. It makes very quick work of clearing out the leaves from around the house.
