No surprise here.

Former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley will announce her presidential campaign Wednesday morning, becoming the first challenger to former President Trump in the Republican presidential primary.
-
The more people in the primary, the greater the likelihood that they winnow each other out, and Trump will be the only one with a base big enough.
That would be a bad thing.
So far only she and Trump have announced, but Pompeo is making noises, and DeSantis...
By the way, DeSantis's middle name is "Dion." Better than "Robinette," I suppose.
-
I'm hoping for George Santos to announce.
Of course, he may be ineligible, as he's already been President of two other countries.

You need to hurry up and become a citizen, so you can vote in the next Presidential election.

Just saw that on CBS. Yay!
Say, @Mik, what are some of her ideas that you like best?
Whenever Fox needs an expert to say the democrats are all idiots, she does a good job. Perfect.

I think it's fair to say that Trump suffers from something that's a very tough thing to suffer from, too. Tough for everybody else, at least.
-
Indeed, sometimes referred to as slightly askewed occasionalism.

I don't see her going anywhere. DeSantis has the best shot, but I don't know how he could cleave enough of Trump's base to beat him in the primaries.
On the other side, I don't have a clue who they will run. I do believe it ain't gonna be Biden.
I don’t think it gets that far. I think you’ll see something where they rally around the best possible non-trump candidate. There will likely be an intervention similar to the one the Dems pulled to kill off Bernie’s candidacy, only earlier in the process.
Ultimately, though, Trump’s base is nowhere near as big as it once was.
