    I should note the cash used to buy the house uses the colors green and WHITE. You guessed it. @Horace should we submit a request to make it Green and Black with the Bureau of Engraving and Printing?

      Works for me. There would still be a guy named George on the $1. Floyd this time.

        I was a cash buyer in 2013 when we moved to the burbs, and I’m a patiently-waiting cash buyer now, waiting for prices to drop more.

        If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

          I'd rather bet the house in the stock market than the housing market.

            @Horace

            The problem is I was born with a short position in housing that I, or someone on my behalf, has always had to cover.

              I don't see how that affects the decision of putting money into the stock market, or a house.

                Well I have to put money of some sort into housing.

                I’m practice, I’ve done both. Far more in the market than in housing

                  I'm sure we all understand the house represents a small fraction of your money. I was just curious about how a theoretical short housing position one is born into, translates meaningfully into capital allocation decisions when it comes time to buy a home.

                    Homes cost money, unfortunately.

                      They also cost time, that most fleeting resource.
