      I should note the cash used to buy the house uses the colors green and WHITE. You guessed it. @Horace should we submit a request to make it Green and Black with the Bureau of Engraving and Printing?

          I was a cash buyer in 2013 when we moved to the burbs, and I’m a patiently-waiting cash buyer now, waiting for prices to drop more.

            I'd rather bet the house in the stock market than the housing market.

              The problem is I was born with a short position in housing that I, or someone on my behalf, has always had to cover.

                I don't see how that affects the decision of putting money into the stock market, or a house.

                  I’m practice, I’ve done both. Far more in the market than in housing

                    I'm sure we all understand the house represents a small fraction of your money. I was just curious about how a theoretical short housing position one is born into, translates meaningfully into capital allocation decisions when it comes time to buy a home.
