Well, the chats are private and persistent.
The only difference to PMs is that you can, as far as I can see, only have one chat with each person or groups of persons.

I like how the threads (etc) auto update in real time in case someone else makes a post.

This site is SO much faster than Tapa.
I must say I'm also surprised by how snappy it is.
And this runs on the cheapest, slowest server you can imagine.

The layout on my mobile is putting newer posts and activity at the bottom instead of the top. Do I change that myself or is it endemic?

wrote on 4 Apr 2020, 11:50 last edited by@LuFins-Dad you can set that if you go to the top right. There should be a box with an up and don arrow. You can set it to newest or oldest order, most posts or most votes.

One other thing, how do you tell if a discussion has been read and you dont need to click on it again?
I see something in the top right about marking chats as "read", but will it automatically do it when I go through a thread?

People seem to be pretty happy with this, so far, no?

I like it. There's just so much less noise and it is much faster.

For me the link is BLUE if it’s new or has new replies I haven’t read yet.

Again. many thanks to Klaus for putting this together in record time. I like it.
I would like the font to be a point or two bigger, but I LOVE the cleanliness of it.

Sorry about the brief outage. I received an email that the system ran out of memory. I increased the amount of memory by 50%. If that isn't enough, I can increase it once more. If that still isn't enough, I'll upgrade the server itself, which isn't a big deal except that it costs a little more per month.

Ran out of memory? We had, what, 50 topics or so? Perhaps a couple of hundred posts.
How does that happen?

No, that was not the kind of memory that stores the posts. That was about the dynamic memory for the runtime system. Don't worry about it.

Can you make the print bigger? My eyes are fine, but I can't hardly read it here.
