Found guilty on 8 counts, including 4 felonies. I love his defense, btw:
Barnett took the stand in his own defense, contending that he was “pushed” into the Capitol by the Jan. 6 mob and then roamed around looking for a bathroom until he stumbled into Pelosi’s suite. He said he took the envelope because he had bled on it and viewed it as a “biohazard.” He left an American flag on a side table inside the office as well.
In other words, "Guys you're pushing me into the building......might as well take a pee. Wait, this isn't the bathroom? I should probably sit in this chair, and write a note calling the speaker of the house a Bitch, and then steal some of her mail"

I think it's pretty damn obvious some of the folks who went in were absolutely down for that. But no, I don't think that's a fair representation of everyone who was involved with what happened.
And all I keep hearing is how this is one giant nothingburger, that forcefully entering the Capitol wasn't a big deal or anything, and the evacuations and suspension of an official vote count was all a big elaborate liberal ruse to get you to vilify jaywalkers.
It can be two things. It can be both dangerously trumped up nonsense at the collective level and a big damn deal at the level of the individual.

It wasn't a coup, it was a riot.
If anybody was attempting a coup, it was the guy who encouraged these morons, not the morons themselves. And I think he came pretty close, he just didn't have anybody who mattered supporting him.

Here’s a thought experiment - imagine Antifa or BLM had stormed the Capitol to stop Trumps inauguration. Imagine every single other detail being identical, from cops getting beaten and crushed on video to one enterprising thuggette trying to breech the area where the representatives were hiding and ending up with lead poisoning, to the stupidest of clownish selfies.
Further imagine all arrests and detentions and pleas and prosecutions took place as they have.
Who here thinks Jolly would have concerns about ‘Kangaroo Courts’ in this alternative universe?
