Karla said that I could pick out a bottle of my choice for a great year at work. Which would you suggest?

I'm a huge fan of Glenfarclas.
But...
When it comes to the "sweet spot," paying so much for 25 year old is probably a waste. I taste-tested some MacAllans (10,12 and 15) a few years ago. Though the 15 was a bit better than the 12, it wasn't worth twice the cost, IMO.
Never a huge fan of the Johnny Walkers, though I'd accept it if given to me.
Bang for the buck? Go with the MacAllan 12. Get two.

The Yamato is tempting me because of the bottle…

Growing a pair so you can decide on your own when you deserve a nice bottle?

Which did you get? Or did you stand next to the display hitting refresh on this page until the costco manager told you the store was closed?

I actually didn’t make up my mind yet since I will be there 2 more times this week.
I’m thinking about getting the WP15 to compare it with the bottle of WP10 I have right now to see if it’s worth the extra… If it is, then maybe I consider the 18 in the future..
I’m also coming considering The Dalmore King Arthur and the Glenfarcas 25. Anybody have any experience? The Walker Blue is also kind of interesting as growing up it was the name I heard associated with high end whiskey. It’s kind of the Steinway of scotch do to speak…but Walker Black is kind of so/so to me. I’ll drink it at board events but it doesn’t excite me.

This is really a great whisky. Darker than most scotches that I’ve tried. Similar to a Scottish Ale. Very fruity. Would like a little more heat, and it’s smoother than I’m used to, but excellent.

I'll have to check this out. Never had it.
I missed your mention of Glenflarcas or I likely would have likely gone that route. The Glenflarcas would be older than Lucas, which would be kind of fun for his first glass of scotch, plus I’m celebrating 25 years since I came to Jordan Kitt’s, and 25 is half of 50 aaaannnnd…
Karla is trying to talk me into buying it as well…

I figure she’s trying to distract me with the whisky…
