A bit dramatic, but take politics out and you had an event only 2 years ago where you had a mob that literally broke into the Capitol to try and stop a presidential election. I have no problem reminding folks of how dark that day was for our democracy. And I didn't want Biden to win.

Congrats to Ashli Babbitt, 2 years sober!

By a national hero who defended us from an unarmed woman.

The Capitol police arrested saved us from her mother this morning while she attended a memorial service for her murdered daughter.

And let's not forget the 5 Capitol police officers who were killed that day by fire extinguisher wielding doofesses.

              Hypothesis example:

Someone for whatever reason (maybe drunk, maybe crazy, maybe sane but just likes your house), and comes pounding on your door. They start trying to break it down. Do you welcome them into your house, or do you try and defend yourself?

It's her house as much as the guy's who shot her.

@Jolly Yes and no. Of course it is a government building and therefore it is paid by the public, but common sense says that does not mean anybody can just walk in and go anywhere they want just because.

The white house is public building. Should anybody just be able to go in there and walk around?

                          Yes, I have.

It wasn't that long ago that you could just walk up to the whitehouse, and you could enter on weekends. Then there was a line if you wanted to get a tour.

The Capitol was wide open on weekends. You could park in the first parking space at the bottom of the stairs if you got there early. Then you could walk inside and walk around all you want. There was no security screening at all.

When I become president we will re-open these buildings on day one.

I think things started to change when President Obama’s good friends and counselors started planting and exploding bombs in the Capitol.
