Sorry to hear. Hope you escaped it, and that Mark's case is mild and short lived.

        Oh, man.

What everyone said. WIth luck it'll be quick and mild.

I'm surprised that we've avoided it for so long here.

Hope it's a super mild case and get well soon!

It can take longer than the flu to get it out of your system. Try to get him to be very patient with himself.

              Please love yourself.

Oh no! I hope it’s mild.

Thank you everyone! I know he appreciates the thoughts. Patience will be the tricky part with him but I'll try to keep him reined in 🙂 We've had the vaccines and initial boosters just not the latest ones but hopefully that will help in keeping it somewhat mild. Plus back in July he quit smoking which is a huge relief to me. Not long enough ago to be that big of difference but at least not an additional ongoing factor.

This is very true. Even a relatively mild case can take a long time for a full recovery.

Best wishes to both of you!

Thankfully the symptoms haven't been too terrible. Mark had the worst of it those first 2 days but definitely is getting more energy but still tired but fever definitely improved.
I started feeling iffy Friday night and next day after putting my watch on went back to bed and got some high heartrate alerts nothing too high but definitely not something I normally have happen so I took a test and sure enough. Yesterday was a lazy day we just hung out on the couch, watched some movies, football. Finally got to see the remake of All Quiet on the Western Front (I can only echo, Wow!) and watched The Menu last night. Not sure foggy brain was the right state for those two.
Mark definitely has more energy today and I'm still tired but don't feel as feverish. I think we are on the downhill side and thankfully nothing major.
Will have another lazy football day today.
Hydrate, rest, relax was definitely key +advil.

Thanks for checking in on us 🙂

                                Do not relapse.

Continue to do what you're doing, lots of rest, hydrate and take care of yourselves.
